‘Evoque Advertisement Series’

Following my passion for automotive photography, I knew that I wanted this series of photos for my Final Project to be based on cars. I began looking into different ways I could document and capture cars; and found that advertisement photography would be the best option with the resources I had available due to lockdown restrictions. Fortunately I had a black Range Rover Evoque that I was able to shoot , which I knew would work well with the concept and idea. I began looking into the angles, views and photographic techniques that Land Rover use in their adverts. With this knowledge, I planned out the types of shots I would take and the locations I would use. I decided to shoot at Matching Green, as it has open, rural views, which compliment Land Rovers brand image well. For the series I wanted to capture a mixture of stationary and moving shots to give it diversity. I made sure I framed the shots with space for the slogans and advertising to fit in.
Having completed the shoot, I picked my four favourite photos and edited them, using the recognisable Range Rover font and logo placement used in the official adverts. This series has given me an insight into how it is best to photograph a car to make it as visually appealing as possible, which will help me greatly in becoming a better automotive photographer in the future.
