'Stereotypes'

 

Following with the brief, and the topic of origins, I looked into an issue that is very profound in today’s society, which is racism. My overall idea was to show that everyone is the same no matter where they came from, their place of family origin.  However, midway through my project the Black Lives Matter protests started, and I attended the one happening in my hometown to take photos, what really happened is it opened my eyes to the large amount of racism that is still lurking in my town. This made me change my idea for my project to show the different mindsets people have on the issue. It shows the origin of stereotypes.
